Theme

This workshop is dedicated to Elliott Sober’s recent work on the role of parsimony in scientific explanation, model choice, and philosophy.

In addressing various aspects of Sober’s account of parsimony, the speakers will discuss central issues in explanation, statistics, biology and mental causation.

This workshop should be of interest to researchers and students with an interest in philosophy of science, metaphysics, epistemology, and philosophy of mind.
