Ageing and old age in the media and elderly people’s media

Ageing and old age in the media and elderly people’s media use was a research project financed by the Velux Foundation for the period 2013-2016 and headed by Christa Lykke Christensen. 

The project studies the representation of ageing and old age in different media and the influence of media on elderly people’s everyday life. The research questions examines elderly people’s media use and discusses how media influence traditional ideas of ageing and old age. The project is a co-operation between researchers within media studies and cultural gerontology.
