    Current research

    My research interests are:

    • Media and everyday life
    • Media and ageing from the cultural gerontology perspective: body, subjectivity, identity and the visual
    • Cultural entrepreneurship and the humanities
    • Dansh cinema and television in Europe

Since 2013 I have conducted qualitative research on the relationship between media, ageing and everyday life. I have focused on the development of older people’s media repertoires in a life historical perspective; on the relationship between media technology and the ageing body; and on the relationship between digital media and reflexivity in the context of the ageing and mediatizing society. My research is part of the collective project Ageing in media and older peoples’ media use, which is funded by the VELUX Foundations: http://mcc.ku.dk/research/focus-areas/ageing-and-old-age-in-the-media-and-elderly-peoples-media.

From 2014-16, I have been part of a collaborative teaching and research project involving three departments of the Faculty of Humanities and Teaching Centre Humanities: A New Balance: Cultural Entrepreneurship.
